Anastasia Dimitra is a designer & Animator, Head of Studies at the department of 3D Animation & Multimedia productions of AKTO College since 1993 and she also teaches animation and graphic design at the University of Aegean at the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication. She holds a degree in Graphic Design, a Master of Arts in “Animation and Internet Applications” and a PhD in “Aesthetics in animation and Virtual Environments” from the University of Middlesex. She is a member of the Board of Directors of ASIFA and has collaborated with a significant number of animation studios in production and artistic direction, while she has been the screenwriter and co-producer of an educational programme on animation aired on National Greek TV. She has also studied and developed educational schemes on animation and since 1990 she has participated in various relevant international workshops. Since 2006 she is president of AWG ASIFA – International Animated Film Association Workshop Group. Ms. Dimitra is the author of two books on animation.
