Teresa Martins has a degree in Sociocultural Animation and International Master of Applied Creativity in Arts, Business and Education – University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
Currently she is a Community Development Technician in KCIDADE Local Development Programme, Aga Khan Foundation, where she has been project manager in education and community development. Teresa was a community developer in (ERASMUS+) ECFOLI, working with COFAC/ULHT youth and their communities.
From 1990 to 2003, Teresa was a Technical Education and Community Development on local governments and municipalities, where she developed expertise in the design, implementation, coordination and evaluation of projects in various policy areas and audiences from different socioeconomic backgrounds and ethnic groups, with special focus on neighborhoods social nature. Coordinator of the “Fight against Poverty” project Princes of Nothing in the parish of Carnide and national coordinator of the European Network of Local Development ESAN as technique PROACT – ISCTE. Elected eight years in local government Carnide, Lisbon, in charge of the areas of Community Development and Participatory Processes, Culture, Youth and Education;
Teresa has been a trainer in areas of education, social and cultural activities and community development at local, national and international level for over 25 years. Professor of Initial Training Colleges of Basic Education, Social Education, Cultural Animation and Tourism for a decade. She is the Director of Theatre Carnide, where he has directed several educational projects, community and artistic.
