Paschalis is an Associate Professor at the Department of Design and Multimedia, University of Nicosia. He studied at Indiana State University, USA, graphic design, fine arts and multimedia, and he holds a five-year bachelors degree in fine arts (BFA), a two-year postgraduate degree in multimedia design (MA) and a professional diploma from the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) in interactive media project management. His education was funded through a scholarship by the office of Indiana State University publications, where he worked as a graphic designer throughout his studies.
His research interests include user interface design, project management, animation and visual communication. He has been presenting his research at international conferences and has more than 20 years of professional experience in the fields of graphic and web design, multimedia and project management.
He has worked on funded research projects, served in academic, reviewing and curatorial committees, and has been appointed by the Hellenic Quality Assurance & Accreditation Agency (HQA) as a member of the team for the external evaluation of Greek Universities.
He has been teaching in tertiary education since 1998 and he is the founder of the BA program in Applied Multimedia at the University of Nicosia. He currently holds the position of head of the Department of Design and Multimedia.
